The side event is being organized in the margins of the 47th session of the UN Human Rights Council and aims to share States’ experiences in the reintegration of women and children repatriated from conflict zones. The event focuses particularly on the rehabilitation and reintegration of women and children in those countries which repatriated their citizens, mainly Uzbekistan.

The event is organized by the Permanent Mission of Uzbekistan to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, the UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism and the Bulan Institute for Peace Innovations in Geneva.
